2008 Scottish Design Awards – Joint winners of the Regeneration Award

Date of award: March 2008

Our third award, which exposed us to additional scrutiny and to a wider Scottish audience, was the Scottish Design Awards. Again our entry was focused on regeneration.

This award was for Tower Mill, and was considered alongside the other shortlisted entry, which was a large scale waterfront regeneration investment in Clydebank. Both entries were commended and were joint winners.

The submission for the award was made by our architect in March 2008, using some elements of the submissions from previous awards, and focusing on the exemplary photos of the project, some of which are reproduced below.

The launch event for the nominations, attended by the architect and members of staff saw Heart of Hawick gain wide exposure at the art de café venue in Glasgow.
