Reproduction of material

Visitors to the Heritage Hub are welcome to purchase copies of the resources that they use, provided that they are not in breach of copyright.

We offer:

  • Printouts from our public access computers and microfilm machines.
  • Photocopies from archives (depending on condition) and local history books.
  • Digital copies supplied either on a CD-R, saved onto a visitor’s memory stick or sent via email.

A list of curent prices for the above services is available.

Copyright

Whenever a copy of our collection is requested at the Heritage Hub we require a copyright declaration form to be completed. This ensures that the copy is being used for private study only and that it will not be used for commercial purposes.

There are separate forms (available as a pdf download) for published work and unpublished work.

Permission to Publish

In the event that you might wish to publish records stored at the Heritage Hub we request that a permission to publish form be completed.

This form must be completed with the Archive Manager and you will be asked to provide specific details regarding the extent and nature of your publishing request.
