Border Family Names Exhibition

The family names in this exhibition—Turnbull, Scott, Armstrong and Elliot—are four of the most well-known Borders names. However, the individual stories in the documents are glimpses into the lives of ordinary, forgotten people who were here before us.

Each section explores one individual or one family, each with its own unique experiences, each with its own story.
