Education and Outreach

Group and School Visits

Heritage Hub is a great venue for group visits and educational trips. Our archive material provides a valuable resource for teaching. We have flexible space for seminars, meetings and twilight CPD sessions and an excellent audio-visual system with a 106” / 2,700 mm display permanently installed.

Education is a key outreach activity for Heritage Hub and we provide education packs to aid teaching in schools free of charge. Our education packs work with the Curriculum for Excellence and typically include: archival source material, teacher’s guidance notes and pupil’s worksheets.

At Heritage Hub we believe that everyone should have access to our extensive collections. Archives are a great resource and the possibilities to work with us are endless.

Outreach

Our Outreach Officer is open to working with a range of communities and is always looking for new ways to bring archives to life for different audiences - whether onsite or at external venues to suit accessibility needs. Projects currently in development are looking at intergenerational practice and oral history.

Projects, one off sessions, programmed visits or specialized provision can all be adapted to your group's requirement. If you are interested in working with us please get in touch.
